Henckels Unity Daily All-Stainless Petty Knife 130 mm

$22.23

Brand	Zwilling
Type	Unity Daily all-stainless petty knife 19360-131
Dimensions	Blade 130 mm
Weight	About 0.07 kg
Material	Special stainless knife-steel blade; SUS430 stainless handle; one-piece construction
Made In	China
Key Features	Seamless body, streamlined handle, dishwasher compatible

A seamless body with nowhere for dirt to hide
We form the blade and handle as one piece of stainless steel, so there is no joint where dirt, water or germs can collect. A wipe or a wash leaves it clean, and the smooth, simple shape is easy to rinse under the tap.
A very light knife for small jobs
The knife weighs about 0.07 kg with a 130 mm blade, so it feels very light in your hand. One owner switched from a heavy santoku and says the lightness was the biggest surprise, which suits small jobs like fruit, cucumbers and tomatoes.
A streamlined handle that is easy to hold
We shape the SUS430 stainless handle in a streamlined form marked with three slots, which gives your fingers a place to rest. The grip is sleek, sturdy and easy to care for, though some cooks may find peeling feels different from a knife with a thicker handle.
Easy care in the dishwasher after every meal
The all-stainless knife is compatible with dishwashers, so you can wash it with the rest of the dishes. An owner with a single-person dishwasher finds it a little hard to fit, so check your basket, and dry the blade afterwards to keep it bright.
A size that suits one-person kitchens
The 130 mm petty knife is the right size for cooking for one or two. An owner who lives alone calls it ideal, and others use it for fruit, cucumbers, tomatoes and even hard foods in a pinch, though a larger knife suits big jobs better.
A cutlery name founded in 1731
Our company was founded in 1731 in Solingen, Germany, and we have made cutlery for more than 290 years. This petty knife is made in China to our standard, with the Unity Daily series' simple, clean all-stainless design.

STORAGE

Store dry at room temperature, about 20 C (68 F), in a drawer with a blade guard or in a knife block, away from moisture.

SHELF LIFE

Durable kitchen tool with no expiry date.

PREPARATION

No preparation required — ready to use as packaged.

IMPORTANT

The blade is very sharp. Keep out of reach of children. Dry the knife after washing, and hold the stainless handle with dry hands because wet stainless steel can be slippery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is this knife made?

Our Unity Daily petty knife is made in China, and we ship every knife directly from Japan. Our company was founded in 1731 in Solingen, Germany, and we have made cutlery for more than 290 years. The country of origin and the materials are listed plainly in the specifications, so you know exactly what you are getting before you order.

What is it made of?

The blade is special stainless knife steel, 130 mm long, and the handle is SUS430 stainless steel, formed with the blade as one seamless piece. The knife weighs about 0.07 kg, which is very light, and the handle has a streamlined shape marked by three slots for your fingers to rest, so the knife feels sleek and secure in your hand.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

Yes, the knife is compatible with dishwashers, and the all-stainless build has no wooden or resin parts to worry about. One owner finds it a little hard to fit in a single-person dishwasher, so check that it sits properly in your basket, and dry the blade afterwards so that it stays bright and clean for the next job.

What is a petty knife best for?

A petty knife is a small knife for fruit, cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs and other small foods. Reviews say small things are very easy to cut, and one owner who lives alone calls it ideal. For large, hard foods or heavy chopping, a larger knife is the better tool for the job, and it keeps the petty knife for what it does best.

Will it feel balanced for peeling?

Most owners find the knife light and easy, though one found peeling harder, perhaps because of the balance of an all-steel handle. Try holding it close to the blade for fine work, and consider that a light knife needs a lighter touch. It is sharpened easily with a simple sharpener when needed, which keeps the edge crisp for everyday work.

How is this knife shipped and when will it arrive?

We ship directly from Japan, and delivery takes 7-14 business days. Any item with a shelf life ships with a minimum of 6 months remaining. Tracking is provided so you can follow your parcel from our shipping point to your door. Your knife is packed carefully so the blade arrives safely and ready for your kitchen.
