Who Is This For

The Home Matcha Whisker: You want a bright, smooth bowl of matcha at home, but lumpy powder makes a gritty, uneven cup that never quite froths. Our matcha powder gives you a 40 g box of pure domestic green tea matcha powder, packed in a sealed foil bag inside a printed Kyoto merchant box. You sift the powder, add hot water and whisk it with a bamboo whisk into a smooth, frothy bowl, so one box can steady your daily routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this matcha powder?

The only ingredient is domestic green tea, as the box and the listing state. The listing gives no nutrition table, and the pack names no allergens. The box holds 40 grams of matcha powder in a sealed foil bag, and the box prints the Kyoto tea merchant's name and address, so you can see who packed the tea.

How do I use it?

Open the foil bag and, if the powder has clumps, sift it through a strainer as the pack suggests. Spoon the powder into a bowl, add hot water and whisk with a bamboo whisk until the matcha is smooth and frothy. Drink it soon after whisking, and take care with hot water to avoid burns.

How should I store it and how long does it keep?

Store the matcha away from strong odors, high temperature and humidity, as the box says, and use it soon after opening the foil bag. We ship with a minimum of 6 months remaining shelf life, so the box arrives with plenty of time left, and an unopened foil bag keeps well in a cool, dry place.
