Benefits

A guard that holds your vegetables firmly: IMG-001 shows the finger guard. The maker lists it to hold vegetables when using a slicer or grater, so you grip the vegetable with the tongs, and your fingers stay back from the blade.

A tongs shape that grips small pieces: The guard has a tongs shape, so it grips a small piece such as the end of a carrot or a radish. Press the tongs gently, and slide the vegetable over the blade with slow, even strokes.

A light body of about 40 g: The guard weighs about 40 g and measures 100 x 70 x 28 mm, so it is light in the hand and easy to store in a drawer beside the slicer, ready for the next batch of vegetables.

A safety rule for the blade: The guard helps keep your fingers back, but the slicer blade stays sharp. Go slowly, keep your free hand clear, and keep the guard and the slicer out of reach of infants.

A care rule for the resin: The guard is ABS resin rated to 80 C, so wash it by hand in warm water, not boiling water, and dry it. Dishwasher use may limit use, so keep it out of the machine, and away from open flames.

Made in Japan per the maker: The maker's page gives Japan as the place of production. The guard is ABS resin, and we ship it directly from Japan to your door, with tracking on the parcel.
