Product Story

Japanese kitchenware makers have spent decades shrinking the dish sponge to fit the hand. Our thin sponge followed that path: a body 1.5 cm thick, about 15 x 9 cm, and about 10 g, made in Japan. Tea marks and limescale on cups were the problem it was shaped around, so one face got a finish of our own hard resin that lifts them with water alone. The other face was covered in randomly placed soft acrylic pile for gentle washing, and a loop was added so it could hang and dry on a hook. Today it folds in two, sits in your palm, and washes plates right to the corners.
