Retractable tip protection keeps the tip sealed until you draw, preventing dirt and breakage. Most liners expose the tip, so they dry out or smudge after a few hours. That leaves you worrying about color transfer onto lower lids and constant touch‑ups. Feel confident all day, from meetings to drinks, with a line that stays crisp and clean.

Product Story

In February 2021, SHISEIDO Japan engineers identified a common frustration: eyeliner that smudged onto the lower lid after a few hours. Leveraging decades of Japanese cosmetic expertise, they created a retractable‑tip pencil with a pigment‑binding long‑wear formula to keep lines crisp without irritation. Today, the MicroLiner Ink 02 Brown delivers that solution, trusted by users who need reliable eye makeup that endures modern, fast‑paced lifestyles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this eyeliner really made in Japan and authentic Shiseido?

Yes. The product is manufactured by Shiseido Japan and shipped directly from Japan. Shiseido’s long‑standing reputation for quality cosmetics is backed by strict Japanese manufacturing standards, so you receive an authentic, genuine Shiseido eyeliner, not a generic copy.

How should I apply the liner to get the best long‑wear result?

Start with a clean, dry eyelid. Use the retractable tip to draw a thin line close to the lash line, then gently press the tip to seal the pigment. For extra staying power, let the line set for a few seconds before opening the eye fully. This technique helps the pigment‑binding formula lock onto skin oils.

What ingredients give this liner its long‑wear performance?

The formula uses a pigment‑binding long‑wear system that chemically links color particles to skin oils, providing water‑ and oil‑resistance. It also contains a lightweight film‑forming polymer that creates a flexible barrier without feeling heavy, helping the line stay crisp for many hours.

Will this eyeliner smudge or run on oily eyelids?

Most users report good resistance, but very oily lids may still cause some smudging after many hours. The pigment‑binding chemistry reduces smearing compared with standard water‑based liners, and the retractable tip keeps the tip sealed when not in use, preserving performance.

How does shipping work for this product?

JapansPrime ships the eyeliner directly from Japan. Delivery takes 7‑14 business days, and each package includes a tracking number. The product has a minimum six‑month shelf life upon arrival, ensuring the pigment remains fresh and effective.

Is this eyeliner suitable for halal, vegan, or vegetarian users?

The product does not contain animal‑derived ingredients, but Shiseido has not provided an official halal, vegan, or kosher certification. Therefore, it cannot be marketed as halal‑certified, vegan, or kosher, though it is free from obvious animal‑based components.
